
Yvonne Keane AM
As a child of domestic violence, Yvonne is grateful for the opportunity to lead The Sanctuary as its inaugural Chair. Yvonne was formerly the Mayor of the Hills Shire Council. An award-winning TV Producer/Presenter, Magazine Columnist, Yvonne is also the founder of SugarBaby Cosmetics and Hear the Children Early Intervention Centre. Yvonne’s work has been recognised with several accolades including 2016 NSW Local Government Woman of the Year, and the 2019 Third Sector Influencer of the Year.

Paul Hargrave
Paul is an experienced family and commercial lawyer, with the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear way, with attention and compassion to his clients’ needs.

Annabelle Daniel OAM
As CEO of Women’s Community Shelters, Annabelle Daniel has worked with local communities around NSW to establish and open five shelters in as many years at Hornsby, Forster, Castle Hill, Penrith and Bayside.

Carol Harding
Carol was elected to the Board of The Sanctuary – The Hills Women’s Shelter in October 2018. Her main role is Community Engagement which involves speaking to organisations and groups, including schools, about the work of The Sanctuary and the impact of domestic violence.

Deborah Yates
Deb has extensive experience in Human Resources and Corporate Affairs. She has worked in the US, UK, Netherlands and Australia and is currently the Chief People Officer at Lendlease. Deb has long been committed to advocating for women and joined the Board of The Sanctuary in June 2020.

Jodie Varnai
Jodie has over 20 years’ experience in the public, private and volunteer sectors. Jodie is passionate about supporting the local community and empowering women.

Daisy Brown
Daisy brings her array of experience with operations, marketing, event management, community engagement and all things digital to the Board of The Sanctuary. She is passionate about using these skills to make a difference and change people’s lives.

Paromita Mitra
Paromita is an experienced omnichannel strategist, focused on driving business growth through implementing customer-centric acquisition and retention strategies. She currently builds and implements strategic omnichannel plans for ResMed DTC. She is keen to make a lasting impact in the community by advocating for gender equality and diversity.

Naomi Mitchell
Naomi is a Partner within KPMG Enterprise, with over 25 years of experience working across Australian tax consulting, advisory and compliance. She is passionate about her local community and empowering women and children to build safe futures.

Tania Minchella

Cassandra O’Connor
Cassandra works in the global risk team for Lendlease and brings a wealth of experience across a variety of disciplines including project management, change and transformation, communications and stakeholder engagement. Cass is keen to utilise her experience across the public and private sectors to deliver positive outcomes for women and the broader community.

Kevin Bates
Kevin is the Group Head of Risk and Insurance for Lendlease and a prominent Risk Management Executive. With a senior executive career spanning more than two decades, Kevin brings a deep understanding of the commercial landscape and the contextual risk leadership capabilities and behaviours that enhance business performance.
Kevin has specialist knowledge in risk management, insurance, corporate finance, investment, and development across the United States, Australia, Europe and throughout Asia.
